Mechanical Engineer, Associate Role Summary: Thi s positio n is r e sponsibl e for d e sig n / enginee rin g fo r pu mp upgrade s , par t s order s and AMU (Aft e r m arket Units) for FPD S&S Accountabilities: Performs work that is varied and complex, with minimum supervision. Consistently applies knowledge of functional concepts and prior experience to work assignments. Gather all relevant information for each assignment, review all the inputs, understand scope of work and complete the assigned task by meeting or exceeding customer expectation. Timely update status to all the stake holders. Follow established engineering standards and procedures for product design to produce consistent and reliable results. Check each design for compliance to job specifications; design form, fit, and function; safety in assembly, maintenance and operation; method and ease of manufacture; method and ease of assembly. Perform self-checking. Deliver clear and complete drawings/analysis reports/ documentation/part list, as per the deliverables of the assignment, ensuring On-time delivery and quality. Understand the basic functions , document control, document preservation and computer filing Maintain and develop technical and other interpersonal skills, always in full compliance with company policies, using the resources productively and innovatively. Requirements: Bach e lor’s degre e in me chanical enginee ring with m in. 3 y e ars or of r e l e vant d esign e xperi e nce in Pu m ps or rotating equipment industry . Excell e nt a b ility to r ead and unde rstand engineering drawing s /docum e nts/reports. Must b e conver s ant with GD&T an d drafting standar d ANSI Y 14.5 Profici e nt in 3D d esign in Soli d works for pump upgrad e s/ par ts / AMU. Hands on exp e rience in pu m p assembly, r epair and servicing is an advantage . Knowl e dge on D esign of pu m ps or r e lat e d equipment Knowl e dge of ASME / API/ DIN d esign standards and m at e rial sp e cifications Competencies: Team player, who is highly self-motivated. High quality on deliverables Highly committed and quick learner. Timely responsiveness to internal and external customers. Listen attentively and understand job information clearly. Evaluate work, sets priorities and quickly focuses on most critical needs.
