Assistant Manager Dispatch

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Dispatch to manage day-to-day dispatch operations, ensure timely and accurate order processing, coordinate with transporters and internal departments, and maintain smooth movement of goods from warehouse to customers.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of dispatch planning, logistics coordination, inventory documentation, transporter management, and team handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily dispatch activities according to customer orders and delivery schedules.

• Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient dispatch of finished goods/materials.

• Coordinate with Warehouse, Sales, Production, Purchase, Transporters, and Customers for smooth order execution.

• Prepare and verify dispatch documents, invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, packing lists, and other required documentation.

• Monitor vehicle placement, loading, dispatch, and delivery status.

• Coordinate with transporters for vehicle availability, freight rates, and timely delivery.

• Track dispatched shipments and follow up on delays, shortages, damages, or delivery issues.

• Ensure proper loading, packing, labeling, and documentation as per company/customer requirements.

• Maintain dispatch records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.

• Monitor dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, freight cost, and vehicle utilization.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and statutory requirements.

• Handle customer queries related to shipment status and delivery schedules.

• Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions to improve dispatch efficiency.

• Lead, guide, and monitor the dispatch team to achieve daily operational targets.

• Coordinate with accounts/finance for billing and documentation-related issues.

• Maintain proper records of returned, rejected, damaged, or short-delivered material.

• Support the Dispatch/Logistics Manager in process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, or a related field.

• 3–6 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.

• Experience in team handling and transporter coordination.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and logistics/ERP systems.

• Knowledge of dispatch documentation, e-way bills, invoicing, and transportation processes.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, Automotive, Retail, E-commerce, or other high-volume dispatch operations will be preferred.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 4 - 6 years of experience.
