Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Legal Consultant to provide legal guidance and ensure compliance in tender documentation, contract management, and corporate legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public procurement laws, corporate regulations, and drafting/reviewing agreements, with the ability to support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Documentation & Compliance
Review, interpret, and prepare tender documents in compliance with applicable laws and procurement regulations.
Draft and vet bid submissions, eligibility documents, and declarations.
Ensure accuracy, legal compliance, and timely submission of tender-related paperwork.
Advise management on legal risks and requirements in government and private tenders.
Corporate & Commercial Law
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MoUs, NDAs, service agreements, and vendor agreements.
Provide legal opinions on corporate governance, company law compliance, and regulatory issues.
Advise on matters related to Companies Act, Contract Act, and other relevant legislations.
Assist in company secretarial work in coordination with the Company Secretary.
Regulatory & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Identify potential legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and statutory bodies as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in legal advisory roles with exposure to tender documentation and corporate law.
Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and relevant acts/regulations.
Proficiency in legal drafting, contract management, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in public sector tenders and PSU/Government project documentation.
Understanding of dispute resolution and litigation process.
Familiarity with e-procurement portals and digital tender submission processes.
