JOB PURPOSE
The Factory Helper is responsible for assisting the production team in the day-to-day manufacturing, assembly, handling, packing, loading, unloading, and housekeeping activities at the CUBICLECRAFT factory.
The employee must support production activities while following company instructions, safety procedures, quality standards, and material-handling practices.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Production Assistance
Assist carpenters, fabricators, machine operators, and production workers in daily production activities.
Support cutting, drilling, assembly, edge-banding, fitting, and other manufacturing activities as instructed.
Arrange required tools and materials at the workstation.
Assist in assembling office furniture and workstation components.
Support the team in completing production work as per the production schedule.
Follow instructions given by the Production Supervisor.
B. Material Handling
Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely.
Move plywood, MDF, particle board, metal components, hardware, glass, workstation parts, chairs, and other materials as instructed.
Shift materials between stores, production, assembly, finishing, and dispatch areas.
Ensure materials are handled carefully to prevent damage.
Stack and store materials in designated areas.
C. Assembly & Installation Support
Assist in workstation and furniture assembly.
Assist senior workers during site installation activities when assigned.
Carry and arrange tools, hardware, panels, table tops, partitions, and other components.
Assist in dismantling and packing materials where required.
Follow the installation team's instructions.
D. Packing & Dispatch
Assist in packing finished furniture and components.
Protect furniture edges, surfaces, and glass during packing.
Check that required components are packed together as instructed.
Assist in loading finished goods into vehicles.
Ensure products are handled carefully during loading and unloading.
E. Factory Housekeeping
Keep the assigned work area clean and organized.
Remove waste materials, packaging materials, sawdust, and scrap from the work area.
Place reusable materials and scrap in designated locations.
Maintain clear walkways and access areas.
Assist in general factory cleaning activities.
3. SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all factory safety instructions.
Use PPE provided by the company wherever required.
Wear safety shoes and other required protective equipment.
Do not operate machinery without authorization or proper training.
Do not remove machine guards or safety devices.
Report unsafe conditions, damaged tools, accidents, or injuries immediately to the Supervisor.
Keep fire exits, emergency passages, and access routes clear.
Follow safe lifting and material-handling practices.
Do not engage in horseplay or unsafe activities inside the factory.
4. QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle materials and finished products carefully.
Check for visible damage while handling or packing products.
Immediately report damaged materials or products to the Supervisor.
Follow instructions regarding approved materials and components.
Do not make unauthorized changes to furniture components or designs.
5. ATTENDANCE & WORK DISCIPLINE
Report to work on time as per factory working hours.
Maintain regular attendance.
Inform the Supervisor in advance regarding planned leave wherever possible.
Follow the factory's rules and instructions.
Maintain professional behavior with supervisors and co-workers.
Do not leave the assigned workplace without permission.
Maintain cleanliness and discipline throughout the working area.
6. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
The Factory Helper may assist with tools and equipment such as:
Hand tools
Measuring tools
Screwdrivers
Drills
Allen keys
Cutting/assembly tools
Packing equipment
Material-handling equipment
Important: Machinery and equipment may only be operated by authorized and trained employees.
7. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
At the beginning of the shift:
Report to the assigned Supervisor.
Understand the day's production activity.
Collect required materials/tools.
Check the assigned work area.
During the shift:
Assist the assigned production worker.
Handle materials carefully.
Maintain housekeeping.
Follow safety procedures.
Report shortages, damage, or issues immediately.
At the end of the shift:
Return tools and unused materials to designated locations.
Clean the assigned work area.
Separate scrap/reusable materials as instructed.
Report pending work to the Supervisor.

9. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Qualification: No specific educational qualification required.
Experience:
0–2 years of factory/manufacturing experience preferred.
Freshers can be considered.
Experience in furniture manufacturing, modular furniture, carpentry, fabrication, office furniture, or interior work will be an advantage.
