Phlebotomist - Home Collection

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, label, prepare, and analyze biological, chemical, or environmental samples

• Operate, calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment (microscopes, centrifuges, spectrometers, pipettes, etc.)

• Execute tests following standard operating procedures and protocols

• Record detailed observations, maintain accurate logs, and produce lab reports (written or electronic)

• Ensure safety compliance: handle hazardous materials, follow sterilization, waste disposal, and biosafety guidelines

• Manage inventory and reorder lab supplies as needed

• Participate in quality-control checks and audits

• Support research or product‑development efforts: assist with method validation, experiments, and troubleshooting

• Collaborate with team members—scientists, clinicians, engineers—to achieve project goals

Required Qualifications

• Professional certification (DMLT, MLT)

• 1–3 years of experience in a clinical, research, or industrial lab

• Familiarity with specific testing areas (microbiology, hematology, environmental assays)

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or related field

• Hands-on experience with lab tools: pipetting, sterilization, microscope use, and calibration

• Familiarity with LIMS or data-recording systems and basic MS Office

• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance (GLP, QHSE, biosafety)
