Job Description

Clinical & Patient Care: Participate in medical rounds, review patient charts, and recommend personalized medication plans. They monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and toxicities.
Dispensing & Manufacturing: Dispense medications for inpatients/outpatients, and may prepare specialized items like IV solutions, nutritionals, or sterile products.
Medication Safety & Education: Counsel patients on proper medication usage and side effects, and provide drug information to doctors and nurses.
Administrative & Logistics: Manage hospital drug inventory, ensure compliance with regulations, and serve on committees (e.g., Pharmacy and Therapeutics) to determine the hospital formulary.
Specialized Functions: Involved in specialized areas like chemotherapy, clinical trials, or managing complex regimens such as organ transplants.
