We Are Hiring A Chemical & Food Quality Control (QC) Executive

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Chemical & Food Quality Control Executive to join our R&D and Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, additives, and finished food products meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards. You will work extensively with food additives such as thickeners and stabilizers, testing their performance in finished application matrices and operating laboratory equipment to maintain precision.

Qualification: B.Sc. in Chemistry / Microbiology / Food Technology (or related field)

Experience: 01 to 02 years in Food Quality Control, Chemical QC, or R&D applications

Salary Range: ₹18,000 – ₹20,000 per month

Job Role & Responsibilities:

1- Application Testing & R&D Support:

- Conduct trial evaluations of thickeners and stabilizers (e.g., gums, starches, emulsifiers) across various finished food matrices (dairy, sauces, beverages, bakery, etc.).

- Document trial parameters, texture profiles, stability test results, and shelf-life observations.

- Assist the product development team in optimizing recipes and reformulating product batches.

2- Quality Control & Laboratory Testing:

- Perform routine analytical testing on incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.

- Hands-on operation and calibration of key analytical equipment, including pH Meters and Viscometers (e.g., Brookfield viscometers).

- Check and record physicochemical parameters such as pH, viscosity, total soluble solids (TSS/Brix), moisture content, and specific gravity.

- Ensure compliance with defined specifications before clearing raw materials or approving finished lots.

3- Documentation & Compliance:

- Maintain accurate Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Quality Control Logs, and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).

- Assist in standardizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory equipment and test protocols.

- Support internal and external quality audits, adhering to local food safety standards (FSSAI) and quality systems (HACCP / ISO 22000).

Key Competencies & Skills:

1- Technical Proficiency: Sound understanding of food chemistry, rheology, hydrocolloids, and basic microbiological concepts

2- Technical Skills: Operation of pH meters & Viscometers, application testing of thickeners/stabilizers.

3- Analytical Skills:

Strong ability to measure, interpret, and record numerical test data accurately

4- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to laboratory hygiene, calibration protocols, and batch testing.

5- Communication:

Clear oral and written reporting skills for collaborating with production and R&D teams.
