Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer with strong expertise in FortiGate Firewall management and hands-on experience in core networking. The ideal candidate must be proficient in FortiGate Firewall, FortiAnalyzer, network security, IPS/IDS, log analysis, network monitoring, along with solid command over Cisco switching, routing, VLANs, ACLs, and active network operations.

You will be primarily responsible for FortiGate Firewall and FortiAnalyzer, ensuring secure, optimized, and stable network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

FortiGate & Security (Primary Role)

• Deploy, configure, and maintain FortiGate Firewalls.

• Manage FortiAnalyzer for log analysis, reporting, and security monitoring.

• Create, review, and optimize firewall rules, NAT policies, and VPN configurations.

• Configure and manage IPS/IDS, security profiles, and alert mechanisms.

• Perform log analysis and security audits to maintain compliance and threat visibility.

• Ensure end-to-end network security and policy enforcement.

Core Networking

• Configure and maintain Cisco switches and routers.

• Design and implement VLANs for segmentation and performance improvements.

• Manage routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and troubleshoot routing issues.

• Create and maintain ACLs for security and traffic control.

• Manage active network and fiber connectivity, including fiber calling and backbone troubleshooting.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Perform proactive network monitoring and performance analysis.

• Resolve network outages, latency issues, and connectivity problems.

• Use advanced diagnostic tools for real-time monitoring.

Passive Network Tasks

• Handle cable laying, identification, patch panel punching, connectors, and cable management.

Coordination & Travel

• Collaborate with IT teams for network upgrades and expansions.

• Travel to client or remote sites for setup and troubleshooting as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• Minimum 4–6 years of core network engineering experience.

• Strong expertise in FortiGate Firewall (must-have).

• Hands-on experience with FortiAnalyzer, IPS/IDS, log analyzers, and network security tools.

• Proficiency in Cisco switches, routing, VLANs, ACLs, and active/fiber network operations.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.

• CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Willingness to travel for client or project requirements.
