Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Network Engineer with 1 year of hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining network performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring secure, efficient, and stable network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructure.

• Perform routine network performance tuning and optimization.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues including connectivity, security, and hardware problems.

• Assist in implementing firewalls, security policies, and network access controls.

• Support upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.

• Maintain documentation for network diagrams, asset inventory, and procedures.

• Collaborate with other IT staff for cross-functional support.

• Provide end-user support for network-related concerns.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Network Engineer or similar role.

• Basic experience with routers, switches, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper).

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).

• Good understanding of OSI layers and troubleshooting methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• CCNA or equivalent certification (preferred but not mandatory).

• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

• Experience with VoIP systems and wireless technologies.

·       knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), switching and routing, and network security practices.

·       Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools

·       Experience with cloud platforms is an added advantage
