IT Professional

Trading Platform Management:

- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot trading platforms including ODIN, XTS, BSE TWS, and NSE NEAT/NEAT+)

- Monitor real-time performance of trading applications to ensure low-latency and high availability for trade execution.

- Support algorithmic trading, order routing, and market data feed integration on platforms like XTS and NEAT

- Assist in setting up and managing trader workstations, ensuring secure access through unique Trading Member IDs and User IDs.

Network and Hardware Support:

- Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including TCP connections, multicast technology, and leased lines used in trading systems.

- Configure and troubleshoot network issues related to connectivity with exchange servers (NSE, BSE, MCX, NCDEX etc.).

- Maintain and optimize server hardware in co-location facilities for high-frequency trading, ensuring minimal latency (e.g., ~1 microsecond for platforms like Factotum).

- Implement and manage firewall configurations (Windows/Linux) and network performance monitoring tools.

System Administration:

- Administer Linux and Windows servers hosting trading applications, including installation, configuration, and backup management.

- Execute Linux commands for deployment, troubleshooting, and application monitoring.

- Manage databases (e.g., MySQL, Microsoft SQL) for trade data storage and retrieval.

Share Market Operations Support:

- Understand and support trading workflows, including order entry, modification, cancellation, and trade confirmation processes.

- Monitor market data feeds and ensure timely updates for trading members (e.g., NIFTY index values, last traded price).

- Support compliance with SEBI regulations and exchange guidelines for internet-based trading and algorithmic trading.

Troubleshooting and Incident Management:

- Resolve issues related to exchange connectivity, broadcast failures, and application performance.

- Provide extended support during emergencies to ensure uninterrupted trading operations.

- Maintain logs and perform root cause analysis for system downtimes or trading disruptions.

Collaboration and Documentation:

- Work with vendors/Application Service Providers (ASPs) for non-NEAT front-end solutions and ensure compliance with exchange protocols.

- Document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and user requirements for trading platforms.

- Collaborate with trading members and compliance teams to align IT operations with market requirements.
