Job Title: Quality Engineer / Quality Inspector (Mechanical - Metal Department)

Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the quality of metal components and mechanical parts by conducting inspections, testing, and maintaining quality standards as per company and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspection of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished metal products
Use measuring instruments like Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.
Read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications
Ensure products meet quality standards and tolerances
Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of components
Identify defects and report non-conformance issues
Maintain quality records and inspection reports
Support in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Follow ISO standards and quality procedures
Coordinate with production team to improve product quality

Skills Required:

Knowledge of mechanical drawings & GD&T basics
Familiarity with metal manufacturing processes (like machining, welding, fabrication)
Understanding of quality tools (7 QC tools, basic problem solving)
Good attention to detail
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, reports)
