Job Summary
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in the overall operations of the restaurant. The role involves ensuring excellent customer service, managing team performance, maintaining food quality and safety standards, controlling costs, and achieving sales and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
Assist the Restaurant Manager in managing daily restaurant operations.
Ensure smooth opening and closing of the restaurant.
Monitor food quality, hygiene, and service standards.
Ensure compliance with all company SOPs and operational guidelines.
Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure customer satisfaction.
Team Management
Supervise Team Members, Shift Managers, and Kitchen staff during shifts.
Conduct shift briefings and assign daily responsibilities.
Train and coach employees on SOPs, customer service, and food safety.
Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback.
Maintain discipline and a positive work environment.
Sales & Customer Service
Drive sales by ensuring excellent guest experience.
Promote upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
Monitor customer feedback and implement corrective actions.
Ensure high standards of hospitality at all times.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor inventory levels and minimize wastage.
Ensure accurate stock management and daily inventory checks.
Control food costs, labor costs, and operational expenses.
Coordinate with vendors and SCM for timely stock availability.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Hygiene Standards.
Maintain cleanliness and safety across the restaurant.
Ensure adherence to statutory and company compliance requirements.
Reporting
Prepare daily operational reports.
Track sales, manpower, wastage, and productivity.
Report operational issues to the Restaurant Manager.

Qualification
Graduate in any discipline (Hospitality preferred).
Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management is an added advantage.
Experience
2–5 years of experience in the QSR, Restaurant, or Hospitality industry.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
