A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in kitchen and food service areas. They ensure that dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and stored properly while supporting kitchen staff in maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, and pans.
Clean kitchen equipment, workstations, floors, walls, and storage areas.
Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of dining and food preparation areas.
Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages.
Support kitchen staff with basic tasks as required.
