Job Title: Steward / Waiter
Job Summary
The Steward/Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness of dining areas, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The role requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
Welcome guests warmly and assist them in seating.
Present menus and explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen promptly.
Serve food and beverages professionally and courteously.
Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Handle guest requests and complaints politely and efficiently.
Table Service & Maintenance
Set up tables with proper cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
Clear tables after guests leave and prepare them for the next service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area.
Refill water glasses and attend to guest needs proactively.
Coordination
Coordinate with kitchen staff for order preparation and service timing.
Communicate with supervisors regarding special guest requirements.
Support team members during busy service hours.
Billing & Closing
Assist with presenting bills to guests.
Ensure accurate billing where required.
Thank guests and invite them to visit again.
Hygiene & Compliance
Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
Adhere to restaurant policies and service procedures.

Qualification & Experience
Minimum: Higher Secondary or equivalent preferred
6months – 3years of experience in restaurant service (freshers can be considered)
Basic English communication preferred
