Job Title: Restaurant Captain
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / F&B Manager
Job Summary:
The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising the dining service operations, ensuring high-quality guest service, coordinating with service staff and kitchen teams, and maintaining smooth restaurant operations to achieve customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
🍽️ Guest Service
Welcome and attend to guests in a courteous and professional manner
Ensure timely and accurate service of food and beverages
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly
👨🍳 Team Supervision
Supervise waiters/stewards during service
Assign duties and manage staff work flow
Train and guide junior service staff
🧾 Operational Duties
Take and verify orders when required
Coordinate with kitchen and bar for smooth order delivery
Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and ambiance
📋 Service Management
Monitor table turnover and service efficiency
Ensure adherence to restaurant standards and SOPs
Maintain service quality during peak hours
💳 Billing & Coordination
Assist in billing process and POS handling
Ensure accuracy in order execution and billing
Coordinate with cashier/accounting team if needed
🧼 Hygiene & Compliance
Ensure staff follows hygiene and safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of restaurant area
Follow food safety guidelines
