A Travel Sales Executive is responsible for selling travel packages and building profitable client relationships for a travel company. The role combines sales targets, itinerary knowledge, and strong customer service.
Promote and sell travel products such as tour packages, flights, hotels, visas, insurance, and add-ons to individual and corporate clients.
Understand client requirements, suggest suitable destinations/itineraries, and create customized quotations and proposals.
Handle the complete booking process: reservations, confirmations, payments, vouchers, and documentation while ensuring accuracy.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets, KPIs, and conversion ratios set by the company.
Generate new business through cold calls, lead follow-ups, walk-ins, inquiries from online channels, and participation in travel events.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities (room upgrades, activities, insurance, add-on tours) with existing and new customers.
Maintain strong relationships with repeat clients, corporate accounts, travel agents, and partners to maximize revenue and referrals.
Provide pre- and post-sales support, resolve complaints, handle changes/cancellations, and ensure high customer satisfaction scores.
Share destination information, travel advisories, and local insights to enhance the customer’s travel experience.
Graduation in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management, Business, or a related field; relevant travel or sales experience preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills, with customer-centric attitude and ability to work under target pressure.
Familiarity with reservation systems/CRS/GDS, MS Office, and basic CRM usage; good destination knowledge and pricing sense.
