A Loan Process Team Leader manages a team of loan executives or sales agents to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely processing and disbursal of loans.
Job Overview
Role: Team Leader – Loan Process / Sales
Industry: Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI)
Core Goal: Drive team productivity, hit loan disbursal targets, and maintain high quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management & Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of loan officers, sales executives, or direct selling agents (DSAs).
Set daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets (KPIs) like logins, sanctions, and disbursals.
Monitor individual and team productivity, providing regular feedback and coaching.
Process & Operations Oversight:
Oversee the end-to-end loan journey from lead generation and document collection to verification and final disbursal.
Ensure strict verification of customer KYC, financial documents, and creditworthiness.
Coordinate smoothly with internal departments like credit, operations, legal, and risk.
Compliance & Quality Control:
Ensure all company policies, banking guidelines, and regulatory requirements are met during loan processing.
Handle escalations and resolve complex customer or operational issues quickly.
Reporting & Training:
Maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports and submit daily/weekly performance updates to senior management.
Train new hires on loan products, lending policies, and sales or processing techniques.
