Tele caller – Lead Generation / Business Development Executive

The Telecaller – Lead Generation Executive will be responsible for identifying potential business customers, making outbound calls, generating qualified leads, understanding their transportation requirements, and arranging meetings or follow-ups with the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

1.Lead Generation

Identify and research potential customers requiring transportation and logistics services.

Generate new business leads through cold calling, online research, business directories, references, and other available sources.

Contact companies from different industries to understand their transportation requirements.

Maintain a regular database of prospective customers.

2. Tele calling & Customer Interaction

Make a defined number of outbound calls every day to prospective customers.

Introduce our services and explain its transportation and logistics services in a clear and professional manner.

Ask relevant questions to understand the customer's current transportation requirements.

Collect important information such as:

Type of goods

Pickup & delivery locations

Transportation routes

Approximate shipment/vehicle requirements

Frequency of movement

Current transportation arrangement

Decision-maker details

Expected requirement timeline

Maintain a professional and positive approach during every customer interaction.

3. Lead Qualification

Identify whether a prospect has a genuine transportation requirement.

Categorize leads as Hot, Warm, or Cold based on requirement, potential, and timeline.

Record complete and accurate customer information.

Identify potential opportunities for regular or long-term transportation business.

Avoid duplicate or irrelevant leads in the database

.

4. Appointment & Meeting Generation

Arrange meetings or calls between qualified prospects and the Sales/Business Development team.

Follow up with prospects to confirm appointments.

Share complete lead information with the concerned salesperson before the meeting.

Ensure qualified leads are properly handed over to the sales team.

5. Follow-Up

Regularly follow up with prospects who have shown interest.

Track customer responses and next follow-up dates.

Follow up on quotations, meetings, trials, and transportation requirements when assigned by the sales team.

Maintain proper follow-up records in CRM/Excel

.

6. Customer & Market Research

Research companies that may require transportation services.

Identify new industries, locations, routes, and potential business opportunities.

Collect basic information about prospects and their logistics requirements.

Monitor market opportunities and share useful information with the Sales Manager.

Required Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Basic understanding of sales and lead generation.

Ability to communicate with business owners and senior professionals.

Strong follow-up ability.

Ability to maintain customer records.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: 12th Pass / Graduate in any discipline.

Experience: 1–4 years in tele calling, lead generation, sales, B2B calling, Courier,logistics, transportation, or related industries
