Insurance Executive

Job Summary

Responsible for driving motor insurance sales for new and existing vehicles while managing the complete backend insurance process, including quotations, policy issuance, documentation, renewals, endorsements, claims coordination, and MIS.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance Sales

• Generate insurance business from new vehicle deliveries and existing customers.

• Explain available insurance plans, coverage, add-ons, deductibles, and benefits to customers.

• Prepare and share insurance quotations based on customer and vehicle requirements.

• Follow up with customers and convert insurance enquiries into policies.

• Achieve monthly insurance premium/revenue and policy conversion targets.

• Promote renewals and additional insurance opportunities.

• Coordinate with the Sales team to ensure insurance is processed before vehicle delivery.

• Build and maintain good customer relationships.

Backend Operations

• Process insurance proposals and coordinate policy issuance with insurance companies/brokers.

• Verify customer KYC, vehicle details, proposal forms, and supporting documents.

• Ensure accurate policy documentation and timely delivery of policy documents.

• Maintain records of policies, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and pending cases.

• Update insurance details in the dealership DMS/CRM/ERP.

• Coordinate with Accounts for insurance payments, receipts, and reconciliation.

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly insurance MIS reports.

• Track pending policies, payments, documents, and customer follow-ups.

• Maintain proper filing and documentation of insurance transactions.

Renewals & Claims

• Track upcoming policy expiries and initiate renewal follow-ups.

• Contact existing customers for insurance renewal opportunities.

• Coordinate with customers and insurance companies for renewal documentation.

• Assist customers with claim registration and required documentation.

• Coordinate with surveyors, insurers, and the Service team for claim-related matters.

• Track claim progress and follow up until closure.

Key Skills

Ideal Candidate

A candidate who can sell insurance confidently while also managing the complete backend process. Prior experience in motor insurance, automobile dealerships, insurance brokers, or vehicle insurance sales would be preferred.
