Job Description for Inside sales
Lead Generation & Prospecting
Identify and generate new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, database mining, and referrals
contractors, builders, dealers, and project sites — across assigned territories
Maintain a healthy pipeline of leads at various stages of the sales funnel
Coordinate with the field sales team to convert warm leads into active accounts
Lead to Sales Closure
Conduct product presentations and technical briefings.
Prepare and send quotations, handle negotiations, and follow up to close orders
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, conversations, and deal progress in the CRM / MIS
Dealer & Distributor Handling
Manage and grow relationships with existing dealers and distributors across assigned divisions
Onboard new channel partners — coordinate documentation, credit terms, and product training
Monitor dealer-wise sales performance and share regular MIS reports with the Sales Manager
Resolve dealer grievances, payment delays, and supply-related issues promptly
Order Processing & Follow-Up
Receive, validate, and process customer orders in coordination with the logistics and dispatch team
Track order status and proactively update customers on delivery timelines
Coordinate with accounts for invoice generation, payment follow-up, and outstanding collections
Handle post-sale support — complaints, replacements, and technical escalations
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts through regular follow-up calls and check-ins
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
Gather market intelligence — competitor pricing, new product launches, and customer feedback — and share with the team
Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through responsive and professional service
