Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, including onsite measurements, site surveys, and designing casings and cabinets for electronic products. This role requires strong expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, and die casting.
Key Responsibilities
● Design and develop casings, cabinets, and other mechanical components for electronic products.
● Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and detailed engineering documentation using CAD software.
● Perform onsite measurements and site surveys to collect accurate data for design implementation.
● Manage projects from concept through design, manufacturing, and installation support.
● Design components optimized for manufacturing processes including:
○ Sheet Metal Fabrication
○ Injection Molding
○ Die Casting
● Coordinate with production, project management, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
● Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
● Resolve design and manufacturing issues while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery targets.
● Maintain proper documentation, BOMs, and revision records.
Required Qualifications
● Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
● 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design (preferred).
● Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and AutoCAD.
● Strong knowledge of:
○ Sheet Metal Design
○ Injection Molding
○ Die Casting
● Experience in onsite measurements, site surveys, and project execution.
● Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
● High attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Preferred Skills
● Experience designing enclosures for electronic products.
● Knowledge of GD&T, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFA (Design for Assembly).
● Familiarity with manufacturing standards and quality processes.
● Experience coordinating with fabrication vendors and production teams.
Education
● Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
