Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Executive Summary

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all plant machinery, automation systems, and electrical infrastructure. This role spans hands-on technical troubleshooting, executing predictive/preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules, and managing utility systems to eliminate production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Infrastructure & Automation

● Power Distribution: Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution panels, transformers, switchgear, and backup diesel generators.

● Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations adhere to national electrical codes, factory acts, and local safety regulations.

2. Mechanical & Utility Maintenance

● Plant Machinery: Oversee mechanical uptime for production lines, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps.

● Utility Operations: Manage plant utilities including air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and water treatment plants (RO/ETP).

3. Maintenance Strategy & Execution

● PPM Execution: Plan and execute Preventive, Predictive, and Breakdown maintenance.

● Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

● Spare Parts Inventory: Maintain critical spares inventory for electrical and mechanical components to optimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

4. Safety & Continuous Improvement

● EHS Compliance: Enforce Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), work permit systems, and job safety analyses (JSA).

● Kaizen / OEE: Drive continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, 5S) to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce energy consumption.

Candidate Profile

Technical Qualifications

● Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.

● Experience: 3–6 years of core maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant or heavy industrial factory setup.
