As a Sales Engineer, you’ll act as the technical expert supporting the sales process of Berlin Machine Corporation’s industrial equipment. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to understand customer needs, propose tailored solutions, deliver technical presentations, and help close sales of complex machinery/engineering products.
Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable machine solutions or configurations.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals to prospective clients.
Conduct discovery meetings and consultations with clients to clarify needs and pain points.
Respond to technical inquiries and assist customers in selecting the right machinery.
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and pricing proposals.
Assist in preparing quotations, tender responses, and technical documentation.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities and potential accounts.
Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and customer site visits to promote products and build relationships.
Communicate customer feedback and technical requirements to the engineering/product teams to improve offerings.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and product knowledge.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Strong technical understanding of machinery or engineering products relevant to the company’s portfolio.
Proven experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or B2B technical consulting.
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Good negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with CRM tools, proposal development software, and sales processes (advantageous).
