JOB DESCRIPTION – AREA SALES MANAGER (ASM)

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and expand the company’s e-commerce business within the assigned territory.

• Lead, train, and monitor the field sales team to achieve monthly business targets.

• Identify and onboard new retailers, sellers, merchants, and business partners.

• Drive EW Shopping App promotion, customer acquisition, and app installations.

• Develop the retailer/merchant network and increase product availability in the assigned area.

• Generate new business opportunities through market visits and local partnerships.

• Monitor orders, sales performance, customer acquisition, and territory-wise growth.

• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, delivery, and customer support teams for smooth operations.

• Track competitors, market trends, pricing, customer requirements, and business opportunities.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and performance reports.

• Ensure achievement of assigned sales, onboarding, app-installation, and revenue targets.

• Handle escalations and maintain strong relationships with retailers, customers, and partners.

• Support the company in expanding its e-commerce presence into new markets and locations.

• Perform other business development and sales activities assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 6–10 years of experience in e-commerce, sales, retail, distribution, or business development.

• Strong experience in team handling and territory management.

• Good knowledge of retailer/merchant onboarding and field sales operations.

• Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Target-oriented with the ability to manage multiple activities.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel, sales reporting, and basic e-commerce operations.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
