Job Summary

The Team Leader is responsible for supervising daily store operations, leading store associates, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining operational standards. The role acts as a bridge between the Store Manager and the store team, ensuring smooth execution of business activities.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

• Supervise and guide Store Associates during daily operations.

• Allocate tasks and monitor team performance.

• Train new employees on store processes, customer service, and SOPs.

• Motivate the team to achieve sales and operational goals.

• Ensure proper shift scheduling and manpower utilization.

Customer Service

• Ensure customers receive prompt and courteous service.

• Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary.

• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and engagement.

• Support team members in handling customer queries.

Store Operations

• Ensure smooth opening and closing of the store.

• Monitor shelf replenishment, merchandising, and display standards.

• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and store appearance are maintained.

• Coordinate with various departments for smooth operations.

Sales & Revenue Management

• Support the Store Manager in achieving store sales targets.

• Monitor daily sales performance and suggest improvement actions.

• Promote ongoing offers, promotions, and loyalty programs.

• Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

Inventory Management

• Monitor stock availability and replenishment.

• Ensure stock counting and inventory audits are conducted accurately.

• Minimize stock loss, wastage, and shrinkage.

• Verify product quality and expiry management processes.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and retail compliance standards.

• Maintain workplace safety and report any concerns immediately.

• Support the implementation of company initiatives and audits.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline preferred.

• 2-5 years of experience in retail operations, supermarkets, or FMCG stores.

• Prior experience in a supervisory or team handling role is preferred.
