Job Description – Store Helper

Position: Store Helper

Department: Retail / Store Operations

Industry: Clothing / Garments Retail

Reporting To: Store Manager / Floor Manager

Job Responsibilities

Age Grp 22 to 50

Assist customers and store staff in locating clothing, sizes, colours, and products.

- Arrange and display garments properly on racks, shelves, and display areas.

- Maintain cleanliness and proper presentation of the store and stock area.

- Assist in receiving new stock and unloading/loading cartons or garment packages.

- Check, count, sort, and arrange garments according to size, colour, style, and category.

- Support the store team in stock movement between the store room and sales floor.

- Help with packing, folding, tagging, labelling, and keeping garments ready for sale.

- Assist in maintaining proper stock and ensure products are kept in their designated locations.

- Help during stock taking and physical inventory checks.

- Support billing staff or sales staff whenever required.

- Handle customer requirements such as bringing different sizes or colours from the stockroom.

- Assist in maintaining the overall appearance and discipline of the store.

- Follow company policies regarding customer service, stock handling, safety, and security.

- Perform other store-related duties assigned by the Store Manager.

Required Skills

- Basic communication and customer-handling skills.

- Ability to work as part of a team.

- Physically fit and comfortable with standing and moving around the store.

- Basic understanding of clothing sizes and product categories.

- Good organizational skills and attention to stock.

- Honest, responsible, punctual, and disciplined.

- Previous experience in a clothing/retail store is an advantage but not mandatory.

Working Conditions

- Full-time retail store position.

- May require standing for long periods.

- May require handling and moving cartons or garment stock.

- May require working during weekends, festivals, and peak shopping hours.
