A Store Executive in the manufacturing industry manages the end-to-end flow of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods. They ensure stock availability for uninterrupted production, maintain inventory accuracy via ERP systems (like SAP), and oversee safe, organized warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Auditing
Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder levels to prevent stockouts.
Reconcile physical inventory with system records to ensure zero discrepancies.
Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methodologies.
Goods Receipt & Inspection
Unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders (PO) and Delivery Challans.
Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to approve or reject materials.
Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and Material Receipt Notes (MRN) in the ERP software.
Material Issuance & Dispatch
Issue raw materials and parts to the production floor based on authorized requisitions.
Process Returnable Gate Passes (RGP) and Non-Returnable Gate Passes (NRGP).
Collaborate with the dispatch team to ensure finished goods are safely packed and loaded for delivery.
Store Maintenance & Compliance
Enforce 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) for housekeeping and safety.
Prevent material damage, pilferage, and wastage through secure storage protocols.
Assist internal and external audit teams in verifying stock and documentation
