Job Title: Store Associate

Location: Bangalore

Department: Retail Operations

Reporting To: Store Manager / Team Lead

Job Summary

A Store Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, handling billing processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations. The role focuses on enhancing customer experience, driving sales, and maintaining hygiene and product availability in the store.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner

• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products

• Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback effectively

Sales & Billing

• Support sales targets through active selling and upselling

• Operate POS (billing system) accurately and efficiently

• Ensure proper cash handling and billing accuracy

Store Operations

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and visual merchandising standards

• Refill shelves and ensure product availability at all times

• Monitor product expiry and follow FIFO (First In First Out)

Inventory Management

• Assist in stock receiving, checking, and storage

• Report stock shortages or damages to the supervisor

• Participate in stock audits and inventory counts

Compliance & Safety

• Follow company policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines

• Ensure proper handling of organic and perishable products

Key Skills & Competencies

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Customer-focused approach

• Basic knowledge of retail operations

• Ability to work in shifts and fast-paced environments

• Team player with a positive attitude

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th Pass

• Experience: 0–2 years in retail (freshers can apply)

• Basic understanding of billing systems is an added advantage

Working Conditions
