The Store Keeper is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of all inventory and supplies. The role ensures proper stock availability, storage conditions, inventory control, and timely reporting of shortages or discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
Receive incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and other stock items.
Check received goods against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
Inspect quantity, quality, expiry dates, and condition of materials.
Properly label, categorize, and store items in designated locations.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas.
Issue materials to departments against authorized requisitions.
Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records.
Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform management about reorder requirements.
Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures wherever applicable, especially for food and perishable items.
Monitor expiry dates and prevent wastage or stock deterioration.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports as required.
Maintain proper documentation for receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and damages.
Coordinate with Purchase, Kitchen, Accounts, and Operations teams.
Report damaged, missing, expired, or excess stock immediately.
Ensure company policies and safety procedures are followed.
Assist during stock audits and provide required inventory information.
Requirements
Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Store Keeper, Store Assistant, or similar role.
Experience in hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or food-service operations is preferred.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer operations.
Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and capable of handling and moving stock when required.
