The Retail Sales Staff will be the face of Fero Boards at the showroom, responsible for welcoming customers, understanding their requirements, showcasing the full range of doors, plywood, and block board products, and converting enquiries into confirmed sales — while delivering a professional showroom experience that reinforces Fero's reputation for quality and reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet and engage every walk-in customer promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming showroom experience.
• Understand customer requirements (residential, commercial, or institutional projects) and recommend suitable Fero products — flush doors, solid wood doors, moulded panel doors, block boards, plywood, and door components.
• Demonstrate product features, finishes, and specifications, explaining quality certifications (BIS, ISO 9001:2000) and material advantages such as marine-grade and finger-jointed construction.
• Prepare accurate price quotations, explain payment terms, and process orders in line with company pricing and discount policies.
• Achieve individual and showroom-level monthly sales targets set by the Showroom/Retail Sales Manager.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the full Fero product catalogue, current price lists, ongoing promotions, and stock availability.
• Follow up on customer enquiries, pending quotations, and leads generated through walk-ins, phone calls, or referrals to maximise conversion.
• Build and maintain relationships with regular customers, contractors, carpenters, builders, architects, and interior designers to generate repeat and referral business.
• Coordinate with the warehouse/logistics team to confirm stock, delivery timelines, and after-sales support for customers.
• Ensure the showroom floor, product displays, and sample boards are clean, well-organised, and attractively merchandised at all times.
• Handle billing, documentation, and basic after-sales queries, escalating complaints or technical issues to the Showroom Manager as needed.
• Stay informed about competitor products and pricing in the local market and share relevant feedback with management.
• Support promotional activities, product launches, and in-showroom marketing events as required.
• Maintain accurate records of daily sales, customer interactions, and enquiries in the format prescribed by the company.
