Job Description: Purchase Executive – Construction Industry

Salary: ₹12,000–₹38,000 per month (on the experience level)

Job Summary
NNIPL is looking for an experienced Purchase Executive with a strong construction industry background to manage the procurement of construction materials, site supplies, equipment, and services for civil construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily purchasing and procurement of construction materials as per BOQs and site requirements.

• Source vendors and suppliers for cement, steel, sand, aggregates, shuttering materials, RMC, electrical items, plumbing materials, and other construction supplies.

• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate rates, and finalize purchase orders.

• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, storekeepers, and accounts teams.

• Ensure timely material delivery at project sites and follow up on pending orders.

• Verify material specifications, quantities, invoices, and delivery challans.

• Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, comparative statements, and procurement reports.

• Control procurement costs and ensure purchases remain within approved budgets.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate in any discipline; a technical qualification is preferred.

• Minimum 06 months–4 years of purchase/procurement experience in the construction or infrastructure industry only.

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendor management, rate negotiation, and purchase orders.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally/ERP, and purchase documentation.

• Good communication, negotiation, coordination, and follow-up skills.
