Job Purpose and Impact The Merchant - Vege Oil will be responsible for Merchandising Imported Edible Oil such as CPO, RBD Oln and SFO into the local Indian market from various port location but mainly pertaining to the East coast of India (KP/Kaki/Chennai/Haldia). In this role, you will monitor a supplier base and fulfill transactions, delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing, volume, quantity and cost. Key Accountabilities Collaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, customer managers and credit manager to ensure efficient execution. Liquidation of all commodities under HS, Bond and Ex tank to local customers to reach target volumes and gain revenue. Work with the accounting and finance departments to resolve monthly contract and inventory valuations for a short term strategy. Research and analyze various freight opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin. Work directly with customers, suppliers and business counterparts to develop business solutions to meet their needs for a specific product. Work closely with the TDA team for inputs on the SnD side pertaining to local crush, import margins, availability of Indian produced oil through crush, port stocks, etc. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of directly related work experience Other minimum qualifications may apply Preferred Qualifications One year of supervisory experience Key Behaviors Execute the port edible oil stock swiftly for position management Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
