About Lean Life Café

Lean Life Café is a healthy-food café focused on nutritious meals, protein-rich food, salads, healthy bowls, and regular meal subscriptions. We are looking for an Operations Manager who can independently manage daily outlet operations, improve customer retention, increase subscription sales, and ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen, delivery team, and vendors.

Key responsibilities

1. Order Management

• Manage all walk-in, WhatsApp, phone, subscription, and online orders.
• Coordinate with chefs to ensure accurate preparation, portion control, packaging, and timely dispatch.
• Track pending and completed orders and resolve customer complaints.

2. Subscription Sales to Existing Customers

• Call and follow up with existing customers to sell meal subscriptions and prepaid wallets.
• Track subscription expiry dates, renewals, inactive customers, and repeat purchases.
• Convert regular food customers into subscription customers.
• Achieve weekly and monthly subscription sales targets.

3. Delivery Management

• Plan and assign daily deliveries for subscription meals and individual orders.
• Coordinate delivery staff, optimise routes, and monitor on-time delivery.
• Maintain delivery records and resolve delays or failed deliveries.

4. Inventory Management

• Maintain stock of chicken, fish, paneer, eggs, vegetables, fruits, dairy, groceries, and packaging materials.
• Monitor daily consumption, expiry dates, wastage, and stock shortages.
• Maintain stock registers and ensure proper food storage and FIFO/FEFO practices.

5. Staff Management

• Supervise chefs, kitchen helpers, cleaning staff, and delivery personnel.
• Manage attendance, duty rosters, shift allocation, and staff productivity.
• Ensure food quality, kitchen cleanliness, personal hygiene, and adherence to operating procedures.

6. Vendor and Purchasing Management

• Coordinate with suppliers for daily raw materials and other café requirements.
• Prepare purchase lists based on stock and expected subscription orders.
• Check quality, quantity, rates, and invoices.
• Control purchasing costs and reduce unnecessary stock, wastage, and emergency purchases.

Candidate requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in restaurant, café, cloud kitchen, or food operations preferred.
• Experience managing kitchen teams, delivery staff, and suppliers.
• Good communication, customer follow-up, and sales skills.
• Basic Excel/Google Sheets and inventory management knowledge.
• Ability to take ownership of daily operations with minimal supervision.

Most important requirement: The candidate must be comfortable handling both operations and subscription sales. This is not just a floor-supervisor role; the person must help Lean Life Café increase recurring customers while controlling daily operating costs.
