Responsibilities:

• Good front office staff is of tremendous value to any institute that allows the doctors and nurses to concentrate solely on patient care.

• The front office staff is responsible for receiving and greeting the patients and visitors. They attend phone calls, answer inquiries, and assist patients in filling up documents.

• Reaching out to patients about their appointments and doing regular follow-up phone calls

• Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.

• Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.

• Maintaining patient records, handling billing/payment records, reviewing insurance policies, confidentiality, and maintaining financial records

• Recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing/ collecting third-party claims.

• Using various accounting and medical record software is essential for a front desk officer

• Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies

Qualifications:

• 1 year plus relevant experience in similar role.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to do multi-tasking.
