The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This includes pipes, drainage systems, water supply lines, sanitary fittings, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.
Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage, and sanitation systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
Inspect and test plumbing systems for leaks and other faults.
Identify and resolve plumbing issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems and related equipment.
Collaborate with other construction and maintenance staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Adhere to safety and building regulations.
Proven experience as a plumber or similar role.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and codes.
Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Physical strength and stamina for manual tasks.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent (ITI or vocational training in plumbing preferred).
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
Valid plumbing license or certification (as per local regulations).
