Key Responsibilities

1. Surface Preparation

• Clean, sandblast, and prepare parts for coating.

• Remove rust, oils, dirt, and old coatings as required.

• Mask or plug areas that should not be coated.

2. Powder Coating Application

• Set up and operate powder coating spray guns and equipment.

• Apply powder coating evenly and according to specifications.

• Adjust gun settings (voltage, air pressure, powder flow) to achieve proper finish.

• Monitor coating thickness using gauges.

3. Curing & Finishing

• Place coated parts into ovens and monitor baking times and temperatures.

• Inspect finished surfaces for defects such as runs, thin spots, or contamination.

• Conduct touch-ups or rework when needed.

4. Quality Control

• Perform visual inspections and use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, thickness gauges).

• Ensure coatings meet customer and industry standards.

5. Equipment Maintenance

• Clean spray equipment, booths, and ovens regularly.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues.

• Maintain safe and organized workspace.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use.
