Chemist

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate new paint and coating products with desired properties (e.g., durability, color, finish, environmental compliance).

• Conduct laboratory experiments to test adhesion, viscosity, drying time, and resistance to weather, chemicals, or abrasion.

• Analyze raw materials and select appropriate pigments, binders, solvents, and additives.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to manufacturing teams.

• Document research findings, prepare technical reports, and maintain accurate records.

• Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance teams, and product managers to meet customer requirements.

• Stay updated on industry trends, sustainable materials, and emerging technologies in coatings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.

• Strong knowledge of organic and polymer chemistry.

• Experience with paint formulation, coatings technology, or related industries.
