Welder

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled CO₂ MIG Welder to perform high-quality welding work on various metal components. The candidate should have hands-on experience in MIG welding, good knowledge of welding parameters, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CO₂ MIG welding on mild steel and other metals

• Set up welding machines, including voltage, current, and wire feed speed

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

• Ensure proper weld quality and finishing

• Identify and correct weld defects such as porosity and cracks

• Carry out welding in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead)

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

• Follow safety standards and use proper PPE

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of CO₂ MIG welding process

• Good hand-eye coordination and arc control

• Understanding of different welding joints (butt, fillet, lap)

• Ability to inspect weld quality

• Basic knowledge of measurement tools

• Awareness of workplace safety practices

Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Welding or relevant field (preferred)

• Certification in welding is a plus

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in fabrication or manufacturing industry

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Physically fit and able to work in shifts
