Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, ARC/MMA, or other applicable welding processes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
Measure, cut, fit, align, and prepare metal components before welding.
Set up and operate welding machines, gas equipment, and related tools.
Select appropriate welding parameters, electrodes, wires, gases, and techniques based on material and job requirements.
Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and distortion.
Use measuring and inspection tools to verify dimensions and quality.
Perform grinding, finishing, and minor rework on welded components when required.
Maintain welding equipment and report equipment faults or safety issues.
Follow production schedules and meet required quality and productivity standards.
Maintain proper housekeeping and organize tools and materials in the work area.
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and welding standards.
Coordinate with fitters, fabricators, quality inspectors, and production supervisors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI/Diploma or relevant vocational qualification in Welding/Fabrication preferred.
Previous experience as a welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Knowledge of MIG/TIG/ARC welding processes.
Ability to read basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Knowledge of different metals, welding consumables, and welding parameters.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to use basic measuring and hand tools.
