• Operate VMC machines according to production plans and work instructions.

• Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.

• Read and understand engineering drawings, process sheets, and operation instructions.

• Set workpieces, fixtures, and cutting tools as per job requirements.

• Perform tool offset adjustments and minor machine settings under the guidance of the supervisor.

• Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.

• Ensure all components meet quality specifications and dimensional tolerances.

• Report any dimensional deviations, machine abnormalities, or tool wear immediately to the supervisor.

• Replace worn or damaged cutting tools as required.

• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices at the workstation.

• Perform daily machine cleaning and routine maintenance as per the maintenance checklist.

• Record production, rejection, machine downtime, and inspection details accurately.

• Minimize material wastage and improve machine utilization.

• Follow production schedules to meet daily output targets.

• Adhere to all safety rules, use the required PPE, and maintain a safe working environment.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in reducing cycle time and improving productivity.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of VMC machine operations.

• Ability to read engineering drawings.

• Basic understanding of CNC programming and G-code/M-code.

• Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters.

• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
