Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Operation
Operate VMC machines to manufacture components as per production drawings.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
Monitor machine performance during operation.
2. Setup & Tool Handling
Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces on VMC machines.
Perform tool offset adjustments and tool changes when required.
Ensure correct cutting parameters such as speed, feed, and depth.
3. Reading Drawings
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
Understand tolerances, dimensions, and machining instructions.
4. Quality Control
Measure components using instruments such as:
Vernier caliper
Micrometer
Height gauge
Dial indicator
Ensure parts meet required quality standards and tolerances.
5. Machine Maintenance
Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
Report machine issues or breakdowns to the supervisor or maintenance team.
6. Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
Knowledge of VMC / CNC machining operations
Ability to read engineering drawings
Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters
Basic understanding of G-code / CNC programming (preferred)
Familiarity with measuring instruments
