Job Description: Trainee Supervisor - Production & Quality Control

Position: Trainee Supervisor

Qualification: B.Sc. Chemistry

Department: Production / Quality Control

Location: Taloja

Reports To: Production Manager / QC Manager

Job Summary

The Trainee Supervisor will be responsible for supporting Production and Quality Control activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, maintaining records, supervising packing operations, and monitoring various manufacturing processes. The role requires coordination with production and QC teams to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control Activities

Perform testing and inspection of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products as per approved SOPs and specifications.

Support testing of latex and compounding chemicals and maintain associated test records.

Record and report test results accurately and promptly.

Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and calibration records.

Production Monitoring

Monitor and ensure quality compliance at various production stages including:

Compounding

Dipping

ET Process

Sealing

Packing

Report deviations and assist in implementing corrective actions.

Documentation & Record Keeping

Maintain quality control records, logbooks, test reports, and production documentation.

Ensure accurate and timely updating of records as per company and regulatory requirements.

Maintain calibration and equipment maintenance records.

Packing Section Supervision

Supervise packing activities to ensure proper packing standards and productivity.

Monitor manpower deployment and workflow in the packing section.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements during packing operations.

General Responsibilities

Follow company policies, SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.

Perform any Production, Quality Control, or related activities assigned by management.

Support continuous improvement initiatives in production and quality processes.

Required Skills & Competencies

Basic knowledge of Chemistry and Quality Control testing.

Understanding of laboratory practices and documentation.

Good observation and analytical skills.

Ability to maintain records accurately.

Teamwork and supervisory skills.

Good communication and reporting skills.

Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).

Preferred Candidate Profile

B.Sc. (Chemistry) graduate.

Freshers or candidates with 0-2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Production, or Quality Control.

Willingness to work in shifts and shop-floor environment.

Note: The employee may be assigned additional Production, Quality Control, Packing, or other operational duties as per management requirements.
