Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Foreman / Site Supervisor to supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site. The candidate will be responsible for managing workers, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed as per drawings and specifications, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site.
Manage and allocate work to labour, technicians, and subcontractors.
Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and instructions.
Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, contractors, and other site personnel.
Monitor manpower attendance, productivity, and work progress.
Ensure proper use of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Check the quality of workmanship and report any defects or deviations.
Ensure work is completed within the assigned timeline.
Maintain daily site progress and manpower reports.
Coordinate material requirements with the concerned Site Engineer / Store Department.
Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness at the work site.
Follow and enforce all safety rules and procedures at the site.
Identify site-related issues and immediately report them to the Site Engineer / Project Manager.
Read and understand basic construction drawings and measurements.
Assist engineers in setting out, measurements, and execution of work.
Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Maintain discipline among workers and ensure proper work practices.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of construction site activities and execution.
Ability to manage and supervise labour effectively.
Basic knowledge of civil construction, finishing, shuttering, reinforcement, masonry, and other site activities.
Ability to understand construction drawings and instructions.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of basic safety practices.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering / equivalent qualification preferred.
Relevant site experience will be considered.
Experience
1–2 years of experience in construction, real estate, residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
