Position: Store Manager Department: Materials / Supply Chain Location: Manufacturing Plant Reporting To: Plant Head / Operations Head Industry: IVD, Medical Devices, Diagnostics Compliance: ISO 13485, ISO 9001, CDSCO, GMP ⸻⸻⸻ Role Overview The Store Manager will be responsible for end-to-end inventory management for raw materials, components, chemicals, reagents, consumables, and finished goods used in IVD and medical device manufacturing. This role ensures full compliance with ISO 13485, traceability, FEFO/FIFO, and supports uninterrupted production through efficient materials planning and control. ⸻⸻⸻ Key Responsibilities 1. Inventory & Warehouse Management • Maintain & manage inventory of raw materials, PCBs, electronic components, plastics, chemicals, reagents, packaging materials and finished goods. • Ensure proper storage of temperature-sensitive reagents, electronics, medicalgrade plastics, sterile components, etc. • Implement FIFO/FEFO based on product type. • Track and reconcile physical stock vs ERP stock. • Maintain safety stock levels to avoid production delays. 2. Compliance & Documentation • Ensure all documentation complies with ISO 13485, including: • GRN, material issue slips • Batch & lot traceability • Calibration logs for weighing equipment • Storage condition logs (temperature, humidity) • Rejection reports & non-conformance reports • Support internal and external audits (CDSCO, ISO, customer audits) 3. Material Planning & Coordination • Coordinate closely with purchase, QC, R&D, and production for timely material availability. • Ensure materials are inspected & released by QC before issuance to production. • Raise alerts for low stock, slow-moving, or near-expiry inventory. 4. Warehouse Layout & Process Optimization • Define and maintain warehouse layout—binning, labeling, shelves, segregation for sterile vs non-sterile material. • Implement lean storage practices to optimise space and reduce movement waste. • Oversee 5S, continuous improvement, and safety in the store area. 5. Team Management • Supervise store executives and material handlers. • Conduct training on SOP compliance, 5S, and safe material handling. 6. Dispatch & Logistics • Coordinate packaging and dispatch of finished goods. • Ensure correct labeling, batch documentation, and customer delivery compliance. ⸻⸻⸻ Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills • Experience in IVD, diagnostics, or medical device manufacturing stores is highly preferred. • Strong knowledge of: • ISO 13485 & traceability • Electronic components (PCBs, chips, controllers, sensors) • Chemicals & reagent handling • Temperature-controlled storage • FEFO/FIFO • Understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Odoo, Zoho, or custom ERP). Soft Skills • Strong documentation skills. • Excellent coordination and communication. • Problem-solving and proactive planning. • Ability to lead a team and maintain discipline.
