Job Description – Store Keeper (Manufacturing Unit)

Position: Store Keeper

Department: Stores / Inventory

Location: Navi Mumbai – Manufacturing Unit (MIDC Pawne)

Reporting To: Production Manager / Management

Experience: 2–5 Years

Employment Type: Full Time

ERP System: Odoo (preferred)

Role Overview

The Store Keeper will be responsible for managing the factory store operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate inventory records for raw materials, production consumables, and finished goods. The role requires a disciplined and organized individual who can ensure proper stock control, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate effectively with production, purchase, and accounts departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receiving

· Receive incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.

· Verify quantity and condition of materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.

· Record inward entries in the ERP system (Odoo) and maintain proper documentation.

2. Inventory Management

· Maintain proper storage of raw materials, production consumables, and finished goods.

· Ensure systematic labeling and identification of materials.

· Maintain stock registers and ERP inventory records.

3. Material Issue to Production

· Issue materials to production departments as per approved requisitions.

· Record material issues accurately in the ERP system.

· Maintain traceability of materials issued to production.

4. Stock Control & Verification

· Conduct regular stock checks and inventory verification.

· Identify and report discrepancies in stock.

· Assist management in maintaining proper inventory discipline.

5. Coordination with Departments

· Coordinate with Purchase, Production, and Accounts teams.

· Maintain proper documentation for inward and outward materials.

· Support inventory reconciliation and reporting.

6. Store Maintenance & Safety

· Ensure proper organization, cleanliness, and safety within the store area.

· Maintain proper storage conditions for materials.

· Follow company procedures for inventory handling.

Required Skills

· Knowledge of storekeeping and inventory management in a factory environment.

· Basic knowledge of ERP systems (Odoo preferred).

· Familiarity with MS Excel for stock tracking and reporting.

· Good organizational and documentation skills.

· Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualification

Graduate or Diploma (preferred).

Minimum 3 years of experience in factory or manufacturing store operations.

Additional Preference

Candidates residing in Navi Mumbai / Thane region will be preferred.
