Job Review:
The Store Incharge is responsible for managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring proper handling of inventory, maintaining stock accuracy, and coordinating with procurement, production, and accounts teams. The role requires strong attention to detail, discipline, and the ability to maintain systematic records while ensuring smooth material flow within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials as per Purchase Orders.
· Ensure proper storage, identification, and safe handling of all items.
· Maintain updated and accurate stock registers (manual/ERP).
· Issue materials to departments with proper documentation.
· Monitor stock movement and maintain FIFO/FEFO system applicable.
· Prepare daily stock reports, consumption reports, and material receipt reports.
· Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Accounts teams.
· Follow company policies, safety rules, and audit requirements.
· Ensure safe storage of hazardous or sensitive materials.
Skills
Strong knowledge of store management and inventory control.
Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP, Tally, Google Sheets).
Good coordination and communication skills.
Ability to maintain accuracy and follow systems.
Physically fit and capable of handling store activities.
3–5 years in store/inventory handling.
