Spray Painter

A manufacturing spray painter applies protective or decorative coatings to parts using spray guns. Key responsibilities include surface preparation (sanding/priming), mixing paints to specifications, operating spray equipment, and inspecting finished products for quality. You must maintain equipment, follow strict safety protocols, and often work in high-volume production environments. Success requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and physical stamina.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation: Clean, sand, and prime surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.

• Application: Mix coating liquids and spray layers to achieve even coverage.

• Quality Control: Inspect coatings after drying to ensure they meet industry or client standards.

• Maintenance: Clean spray guns, nozzles, and hoses after every shift to prevent equipment failure.
