Technical Lead-Cloud & Infra Engg Area(s) of responsibility Job Description – Senior SME (Wintel, Virtualization & Multi-Cloud) Role Title Senior Subject Matter Expert – Wintel, Virtualization & Cloud Platforms Experience 12–18 years (with strong domain depth in infrastructure & cloud platforms) Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and govern enterprise-scale infrastructure environments spanning Wintel, VMware, Citrix VDI, VxRail, and multi-cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI) . The role will act as the technical authority and escalation point (L3/L4) across infrastructure towers, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, security compliance, and continuous service improvement for a global managed services environment. The SME will also drive architecture evolution, cloud transformation, automation, and operational excellence initiatives aligned with business and contractual expectations. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Leadership & SME Ownership Act as the primary SME across Wintel, VMware, Citrix VDI, and hybrid cloud platforms Provide L3 support and lead resolution of critical incidents and complex problems Define and enforce standards, best practices, and governance controls Serve as the technical escalation point for service delivery and customer interactions 2. Infrastructure & Platform Management Manage and optimize: Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, GPO, patching) VMware ecosystem (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA/DRS) Citrix VDI (CVAD, DaaS, NetScaler/ADC, StoreFront) VxRail / Hyper-Converged Infrastructure Ensure availability, capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management 3. Cloud & Hybrid Architecture (Azure, AWS, OCI) Design, deploy, and optimize workloads across: Microsoft Azure Amazon Web Services (AWS) Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Drive: Cloud migrations (lift-and-shift / modernization) Hybrid integration (on-prem ↔ cloud) Cost optimization and right-sizing initiatives Ensure cloud platform governance, security, and compliance adherence 4. Virtualization & VDI Strategy Own end-to-end Citrix VDI architecture and operations Ensure performance optimization and seamless user experience Define strategies for: Image management (MCS/PVS) DR/BCP frameworks Migration to cloud-based VDI platforms Drive modernization (e.g., DaaS, cloud-native VDI approaches) Experience Level Senior Level
