Perform in-process inspection of gear coupling components during machining, heat treatment, assembly, and final inspection.
Verify dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator, and Plug/Ring Gauges.
Check products as per engineering drawings, quality plans, and inspection standards.
Identify and segregate non-conforming parts to prevent defective material from reaching the next process.
Report quality issues immediately to the Quality Supervisor and Production Supervisor.
Conduct first-piece inspection before production starts.
Perform random inspections during production to ensure consistent quality.
Maintain inspection reports, rejection records, and daily quality check sheets.
Ensure traceability and proper identification of inspected material.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality problems.
Coordinate with Production, CNC/VMC Operators, and Stores to resolve quality-related issues.
Ensure measuring instruments are handled properly and used within calibration validity.
Follow ISO 9001 procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the inspection area.
