Here is the Quality Line Inspector – Roles & Responsibilities in 10 professional points:

• Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspection of machined components as per engineering drawings and process requirements.

• Check dimensions using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator, and other precision measuring instruments.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T, and customer specifications.

• Verify critical dimensions, surface finish, thread quality, and visual appearance of parts during production.

• Maintain accurate inspection reports, measurement records, and traceability documents.

• Identify and segregate non-conforming or rejected parts and inform the Production and Quality team immediately.

• Monitor production processes and ensure machine setups are approved before mass production starts.

• Ensure all measuring instruments are calibrated and used according to quality standards.

• Follow AS9100D / ISO 9001, FOD control, safety, and 5S requirements on the shop floor.

• Coordinate with operators, setters, production supervisors, and quality engineers to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence of defects.
